Tips for Brewing the Perfect Cup of Hot Tea

· Loose tea generally makes better tea because the leaves are kept whole. Typically tea bags contain tea that is broken up, allowing the flavors and oils to evaporate or degrade over time.

· Always use high quality, fresh tap or bottled water; never use distilled water.

· Infuse your tea at the right temperature and for the right amount of time.

 Tea Bags

· Bring fresh cold water to a rolling boil

· Preheat your teapot by pouring a small amount of boiling water into it and allow it to sit for a few seconds – then discard water

· Place one tea bag in your teapot per cup of water

· Pour hot water directly over tea bags and allow to steep

· Depending on your preference, you can enjoy drinking your beverage plain or with a bit of milk, lemon, honey or sugar.
In Asia, people typically drink tea without added extras. In England, a small amount of milk is often added for extra body
and smoothness. In Russia, it is common to add lemon for extra flavor or raspberry jam for sweetness.

 Loose Tea

· 50g Che Sen Lotus Green TeaFill a kettle with fresh cold water.

· Bring water to a rolling boil.

· Warm the teapot and spout by swirling in a splash of the steamy water and then pour it out.

· Use one teaspoon of loose tea for each cup of brewed tea.

· Place tea into infuser, tea ball, or loose in teapot.

· Pour water, just off a boil, over tea.

· Cover tea pot and let stand (steep) generally for 3 to 5 minutes. Most green teas require only a brief infusion —
one to three minutes. Brew black and oolong teas three to seven minutes. Herbal teas should steep five to ten minutes.

· Pour strained tea into cup and serve.

· Pour your freshly brewed through a fine tea strainer into your serving cups. It is important to remove the tea leaves from
the water quickly after brewing to prevent the brew from tasting bitter.
