The Coffee Mill uses roasters who are
socially and environmentally conscious and whose coffee meets
our standards of quality. We are proud to serve many coffees that are
certified organic (coffee that has
been certified by a third party agency as having been grown and processed
without use of pesticides,
herbicides, or chemicals), fair trade (coffee that has been purchased from
farmers at a fair price as defined
by Trans-Fair or other international agencies), shade grown, and/or certified
kosher.
Our roasters also deal with many small,
family-owned coffee farms and cooperatives that grow high
quality beans using the same farming practices as certified organic farms but,
can't afford the expense of
becoming certified organic. As a result, our roasters regularly pay more
for their green beans than the fair
trade set price.
Our roasters use water processes to
remove 97% of the caffeine that naturally occurs in coffee (Arabica
coffees contain about one percent caffeine naturally).
We sell coffee by the half- and
whole-pound, whole bean or ground. Orders are fulfilled Monday - Friday,
usually within 24 - 48 hours of placing an order; depending on
availability. Orders are shipped USPS
based on weight and zone. We only ship in the Continental United States.
